I stare at the misty mountains.
I naturally expect to feel little.
I instead feel like I belong.
I wonder where this feeling of belonging is coming from.
As I continue to stare, I feel the lines blurring.
I feel like the mountain is in me.
The mountain is in my vision, disappearing when I close my eyes.
I realise that everything I see is my world.
Everything I see is my perception.
Everything I see is created by me.
I see my partner sitting up and staring at the same misty mountain.
The mountain is part of her vision too.
The mountain is part of her world as well.
And I realise that she has her own whole world, like I have my own whole world.
Two worlds that can never be the same.
Her vision and my vision can never be the same.
Probably both of us are part of the misty mountain’s vision; who knows.
Even if it can’t see, I’m sure it has some sense that we don’t understand; and both of us are part of its world.
The mountain has its own whole world.
I smile as I recollect what a friend told me.
We are all like parts of a hologram.
Each part independently containing the full image.
And all them together forming the same full image.
I understood it then, but I realise it now.
We are indeed like holograms.
I again smile wondering who has the entire hologram.
Someone must have put us together.
I again turn to look at the misty mountains.
I decide it’s wise to be in the moment and enjoy its beauty.
When it is my time I will realise the hologram in its entirety.
