Life, where do I start? (Poem)

Life seems to be a maze until we are present every moment

Where do I start?
Try to fulfill my endless list of desires,
Or be happy with what I have,
Knowing that any list of desires is always endless.
Contentment unfortunately does not come easy.
Spirituality becomes necessary.
Where do I start?
Do I start with the gods I’ve prayed to from my childhood?
Or do I look inside knowing that god is within me?
Realisation of the inner self unfortunately does not come easy. Perseverance becomes necessary.
Where do I start?
Do I start by meditating on the inner self everyday?
Or do I yoga to get my mind to focus?
Unfortunately discipline does not come easy.
A strong purpose becomes necessary.
Where do I start?
Is my purpose to realise god?
Or is my purpose to realise my inner self?
Unfortunately, there is no one path to understanding the abstract.
While I ruminate, I realise I’m missing something important.
My life, every moment, continues to pass in front of me. I’m not even noticing.
Why bother about purpose when there is something tangible in front of me?
Life; let me be present every moment.
Life; let me participate heads down.
Life; let me live it to the fullest.
Life; to live it is its purpose.
